The Red Flags DealerAide NPI Compliance Program will be implemented and monitored by your dealer and consists of two programs that are required under federal regulation:

•The Information Security Program (ISP), required by the FTC Safeguards Rule, is designed to protect customers’ nonpublic personal information (NPI). The implementation of the Safeguards Rule mandated Customer Information Security Program is rather straightforward.  The objective is to keep the nonpublic information provided by customers and consumers out of harm’s way – to keep it from being stolen.

•The Identity Theft Prevention Program (ITPP), required by the Red Flag Rule, is designed to prevent identity theft in your dealership. Chances are that 99% of the people you’re dealing with are who they say they are - the challenge is to identify 1%.
