Overview

AFIP Certified F&I Professionals are required to read and sign their commitment to abide by, a code of ethics that holds the certified individual personally accountable for what they tell a customer. The statement is signed at every testing level.

To earn certification, basic certification candidates must score 80% or higher on a 25-question situational ethics exam – providing the correct ethical and legal responses to hypothetical customer situations.

Senior certification candidates must complete a personal code of ethics workbook.

Copies of all exams, ethics workbook responses, and signed AFIP Code of Ethics remain on file for future reference if required.
